Website Case Study: Warm Timber Wine Cellars & Saunas

Warm Timber Luxury Wine Cellars & Saunas: New Owners, New Site, New Revenue

Purchasing an existing business can be exciting, but it also comes with some questions:

  • How can we build on what the previous owners created, while making it our own?
  • What changes do we need to make to our core offers, our branding, and our overall marketing plan?
  • Who can we partner with to help us do it all?

Expanding a Luxury Company, Locally

The Rimer Family became the proud new owners of Warm Timber  in 2024. They knew right away that they wanted to expand from doing home & mobile saunas to specializing in custom wine storage.Their vision was to expand their service area and become THE go-to for luxury wine cellars and premium saunas in homes and commercial spaces.

As a web designer, I was able to help the new owners of Warm Timber show up fully online, so they could focus on all that comes with this massive transition and delivering new services!. Read on to see how we expanded their web presence as they expanded their business!

A fresh, clean new look

The primary goals for the new Warm Timber website focused on establishing their visual branding while providing inspiration and details about their services. As new owners, it was important for them to distinguish themselves from the old branding and to make the new era of Warm Timber unmistakably ‘them’.

Warm Timber website design mockups
  • We started with a strategy session to discuss the new sitemap, determine key pages, and finalize how things should be organized.
  • We built out their branding with an 8 piece color palette to help make their website accessibility friendly and selected clean, modern fonts for the design.
  • I created mockups of each page to help the client see how the content and photos would work together, revising and re-working based on feedback. It was a true collaboration between me and the client!
  • We relied heavily on photos and real-life completed projects of wine cellars and saunas to get visitors excited about the possibilities.

An elevated WordPress website, built for search

They needed to be found easier in search, especially in their local service areas of Pittsburgh and Nashville. WordPress offered the perfect platform for the new website: easy to use tools for the Warm Timber team to use post-launch, SEO infrastructure for increasing search visibility, and flexible tech for current needs but also future growth.

BEFORE

AFTER

  • We brought the wine cellars to the forefront, instead of being an afterthought.
  • All of the new content was optimized for search, incorporating the keywords and language their potential customers were using to find similar products & services.
  • We made sure the search engines could see & index all of the new pages, and future updates would be picked up quickly.
  • Additional keyword-rich content was added to the site: frequently asked questions, background information about the health benefits of saunas and cold plunges, and information about booking their Mobile Sauna service.
  • New client inquiries are directly integrated into their leads/CRM software, and clear calls to action are included on every page to make it easy for visitors to take that next step and reach out to book a consultation.

What the client said

“It looks AWESOME! The website has been a crucial addition to our business this year and we have been very pleased with its impact.”
